Often clients must choose between an adventure elopement or a traditional wedding but Dave and Natalie had it ALL in their Seward, Alaska celebration. I arrived just in time at SALTED ROOTS to snap a few details just before Natalie slipped into her (gorgeous!) dress. Soon after these love birds were seeing each other for the first time, with tears in their eyes and the ocean at their feet.
The next stop was the airport and MARATHON HELICOPTERS took us on the adventure of a lifetime. This was my first time flying in this particular area and I don’t have enough good things to say about the flight company, the cooperative September weather, and the chosen location that had us all pinching ourselves. Dave and Natalie shared private vows quietly and without fanfare, standing on the top of a mountain, a glacier spread before them. HAYLEY J MEDIA and I both had tears behind our cameras, it was such a stunning moment.
The ceremony and reception came next. Family and friends travelled from all over the world to congregate on a quiet beach in Alaska and see these two commit their lives and love to one another. This group was such a vibe. They were vibrant, supportive, and rallied for the couple! The dance floor was poppin’, drinks always topped off and if I could describe the vibe in one word: absolute and utter JOY.
There were a lot of moving parts and pieces to this day, and honestly, I was surprised it went by without a hitch. Credit goes to WILDROSE WEDDINGS who planned every detail out and ensured the event went smoothly, to MILLER’S LANDING who was such a hospitable venue host, and to all the other amazing talents I am listing below!
It’s such a pleasure to be invited into these treasured moments in so many lives. The honor doesn’t escape me. After the wedding, I drove back to my Airbnb exhausted, but smiling from ear-to-ear, with a deep well of gratitude filling my heart. Life is so beautiful. And love is everything.
