There are wedding days that feel like home, and then there are days that feel like an adventure you tuck into your ribs forever. This was one of those days — warm with laughter, rich with rugged Alaskan landscape, and stitched together by cherished moments that deserve to be felt as much as seen.
AK Diamond Ranch is one of my very favorite wedding venues featuring rolling acres of countryside near Kachemak Bay. The ranch provided a backdrop of mountains, open sky, and quiet beauty that could be felt in every frame.
As you can see, the horses were such a vibe and definitely supporting actors in this story! Taylor and Darrel were beside themselves and the whole scene made those moments together feel pretty stinkin’ magical. Walking together through the fields wasn’t just a photo opportunity, it was a pause — a gentle reminder to slow down and really take in the day and each other. The way these two looked at one another felt like a chapter from a love story. I couldn’t get enough.
Inside the rustic barn, under warm beams and intimate lighting, family and friends gathered to celebrate. Toasts were hearty, hugs were abundant, and every dance felt like its own tiny celebration. I think if I had to choose a favorite part of the weddings I photograph, it would be those love connections. They are not always the dramatic pictures with breathtaking views…but they are the ones you feel in your gut.
To Darrel and Taylor: thank you for letting us tell a story that is authentically you. I hope these images are always a perfect reminder of your love. You’re the best!
