Kyle and Nicole are from Alaska and they wanted to ditch the big wedding for something more intimate. They hand-picked a location a couple hours north that was sentimental to them and all-Alaskan. It was a small event with just a handful of family (nicest family everrrr) that stayed with us for the ceremony and then partied in the RV while we adventured to a few photo spots after.
Like most locations nestled between mountain ranges, we had lots of variable weather. Storm systems were moving in and out and we managed to get a lot of different looks while the sun and rain had a little dance off. Gotta love Alaska.
The day was really simple and casual, Nicole was lacing up her hiking boots when I arrived and everyone was all smiles. We kicked things off with a first look with the two of them. They each read a letter before turning around and seeing one another for the first time. It struck me how so often, less is more. There was no big build up, no string quartet or schedule to keep. It was just them, their love, and their mountains. Picture perfect. Full of peace.
